The annual China Conference brings together expert panelists from around the world and from across Stanford’s disciplines, as well as experts and business leaders from Silicon Valley and the Bay Area to share insights on China's economic prospects.
We organize public lectures that bring top China experts, including academic thought leaders, policy makers, and industry experts, to campus to share their work, research, and experience with the Stanford community and the broader community.
SCCEI Seminar Series
Our SCCEI Seminar Series connects and establishes a network of top scholars who study specific topics related to China’s economy. The series provides a platform for both up and coming scholars and seasoned scholars from across the world to share their empirical research on China's economy and institutions.
We organize an exclusive, invite-only lecture series for Stanford researchers working on or with China today to help build a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles underlying China’s political infrastructure and economy.
Student Seminar Series
This series brings together young scholars doing research on China and provides them with a platform to present new research, get feedback, exchange ideas, and make connections with China-focused students from other departments.
We partner with experts on campus to host practical workshops for graduate students navigating how to conduct research at Stanford and in China. Workshops cover topics like budgeting for field work, preparing an IRB, navigating China's privacy law, and more.
